Stubborn

Aggghhh! Tried that hat again! I wish I hadn't bothered it just went horribly wrong. But I did find a great tip on flickr. I don't have double pins I generally use circular needles but when you get down to under a dozen stitches it is so difficult. So the tip was to use skewers. So here's the picture of my attempt.

I figured out my mistake (I misread the pattern duuhh) But when it was finished the yarn I used just made it look odd. It was a faux black chenille. The hat is now too loose. So I cannot win.

I am sure for someone it would be fine but I don't feel that it is up to a certain standard that I insist upon. It wouldn't photograph well due to being black and having bad lighting. I did try to felt another hat too. But it went over sized and has no elasticity like it did before.

It is just too big, it would suit someone with dread locks though.I call this the 'blue hat' for obvious reasons Here it is...

I am making the hat for a swap and here is what I have been sent already by the lovely Jen! The necklace was an added surprise, thanks so much Jen! xxxx

Well it's a learning curve. But I am really sick of the pattern. I have to start another hat now! Shoot me! xxx

Well your hat went wrong so I cheated and bought one instead. I also added some extras since you were so courteous during this episode! Thanks Jen xxx
